Displaying a stoic demeanour, chief of defence staff General Bipin Rawat’s daughters lit the pyre on which their parents were laid side by side after the evocative ‘Last Post and the Rouse’ was played by tri-service buglers with full military honours. The final rites of Gen Rawat’s defence adviser Brigadier LS Lidder were also conducted at the Brar Square cremation ground.
