A molecular study of the odd 1,413 dengue infected patients' blood samples at the Indian Council of Medical Research-National Institute of Virology (ICMR-NIV) has confirmed that dengue virus 2 (DENV-2) is the predominantly circulating strain or serotype in Maharashtra this year.
