Maharashtra remains the country's 'Maha' or worst Covid-19 hotspot six months after the first case was detected here. It has 11 lakh cases so far; Andhra Pradesh, with the second biggest caseload, has almost half this number. As of Friday morning, Maharashtra had 31,351 deaths, almost four times the toll recorded in Tamil Nadu (8,618), which has the second highest mortalities. Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Nashik and Nagpur are among the top 10 districts with the highest burden.
