Citing the rising number of religious conversions in the name of 'love jihad' in the state, the UP government is likely to promulgate an ordinance against religious conversions soon. “It's in the process and Acts and laws of other states are being studied and discussed before UP has its own law against religious conversion," confirmed a senior officer, state law department.
