Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday cited her government's efforts to control onion prices as also its schemes such as free cooking gas to poor women and financial inclusion programme of Jan Dhan Yojana to counter opposition's 'elitist' barbs at her over her remark of not coming from onion-consuming family.
