When asked about what gives her strength, para-athlete Deepa Malik referred to her father's words, "And he said 'Deepa what have I named you? What is your name?' And I said Deepa. So he said 'where did that famous quotation go? It's always better to light a lamp than to curse the dark. You are cursing the dark Deepa, become the lamp."
