The EC committee, which will be headed by deputy election commissioner in charge of model code of conduct matters Sandeep Saxena, is expected to ascertain whether the address was recorded using the resources of Doordarshan or AIR, thus involving a cost to the exchequer. It is expected to submit its report to the EC “in a day”, a senior EC functionary said.
