To be or not to be a chowkidar has never been such a politically loaded question as it is now in India’s poll season with the opposition pushing for a change of guard and the PM and his Cabinet prefixing ‘chowkidar’ to their handles on social media, triggering the rise of a legion of ‘chowkidars’ on twitter.
