Undertale Creator To Reveal Something New Tomorrow

New Game Today:

Undertale creator Toby Fox is teasing something new regarding Undertale, though whether it's a sequel or an update isn't quite clear.

Whatever it is, however, it looks to be pretty major. The official Undertale Twitter account this morning posted several vague tweets, seemingly in in character, saying it wants "To show you something," and that it will make contact again in 24 hours. It also mentions that whatever it's going to reveal "is far from complete," however, and that it will take questions from the community and use the feedback to complete it.

Fox is also encouraging PC and Mac players who've finished the game to play it early tomorrow morning. "I want to make something new, and it all begins with your feedback," Fox said.

Considering this is all hinting towards "something new," it's likely we're looking at a new game from Fox and/or possibly a sequel to Undertale. However, the statements about asking for community feedback also seem to hint toward an early access or crowdfunding approach to the game. While Undertale has sold quite well, it may be Fox wants to keep the grassroots spirit of the development process that birthed Undertale alive rather than directly publish or work with a publisher on a sequel. Either way, I can't wait to see what this is. Unfortunately, I think I lost my Undertale save at some point, which means I won't be able to see the reveal as intended.
